Beauty and the Beast Monologue

Description

This is monologue number three. It is from the play Beauty and the Beast by Warren Graves. The character giving this monologue is none other than the Beast himself. He has just provided shelter to the merchant Blotti, the father of Beauty, who had gotten lost in the forest. Blotti, while enjoying the Beast's hospitality, had unwittingly plucked a rose from the Beast's table which was of far greater value to the Beast than Blotti could ever realize. Here, the Beast explains just why he cares so much for the beauty of even this small flower.

Now that does it for the monologue itself. In conclusion, I wish to say I am open to any and all constructive criticism and comments. I am an amateur actor, still in high school, and I am performing these monologues for my own amusement and to display my acting ability while improving it through your suggestions. I would love to hear how I can become a better actor! But I am also human, and any compliments you can muster would make my day. I hope you enjoy the performance.

I like your work. The emotion that you portrayed was wonderful and made me get lost in the story. Keep up the good work!!!
